This was the first year the event, which benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, held a relay during the sprints and Heel Ya participated handing off a stiletto to their rally teammates.

Alyssa Salmon, development and communications director for BBSNH, said the organization encouraged participants to dress up this year and many were up for it. While they donned white sailor hats, scarves and bared their muscles, they were all wearing high heels, as they took part in the sixth annual Stiletto Sprint Saturday afternoon on Pleasant Street.

She was visiting the city last year and came upon the event by chance.
